Doe Foot Cottage
Superbly situated in an ’Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and close to the waterfall walk, this delightful cottage takes its name from the River Doe which meets the River Twiss at the bottom of the garden, at the foot of the magnificent viaduct. All on one level, furnished and decorated to a high standard, it is within walking distance of the village shops, pubs, restaurants and tea shops. The Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales are within easy driving distance, making this a good central base to explore the surrounding beautiful countryside.
A FEW WORDS FROM OUR GUESTS
Doe Foot cottage is an amazingly secluded cottage yet in the centre of this lovely village. It is owned by a charming couple who cannot do enough to help. A return visit is a must.
The cottage was neat, clean and very well organised. Sally and David had prepared for us very well, even to providing a bottle of Christmas cheer and a box of chocolates! A lovely couple and a lovely cottage! Highly recommended. The area is beautiful and once settled in we didn’t need to drive again because we could set out on beautiful walks straight from the front door. Thank you for a lovely, quiet, Christmas break! I hope we will be able to stay there again.
The cottage was very well kitted out, with some lovely personal touches like local bread and cakes to welcome us. The property is attached to the owners home and although our host was very friendly when we arrived, she then left us to it for our stay, which we greatly appreciated…it felt very private. We would definitely go again and recommend it.
